This recipe was created with three of my favorite ingredients: Greenwood Ridge Late Harvest White Riesling, lychee and ginger. This refreshing dessert is perfect after a flavorful tomato based dish such as seafood stew in tomato broth like Cioppino . Follow it with a glass of Greenwood Ridge Vineyards Late Harvest White Riesling.
Marilyn's Favorite Lychee Sorbet

1 lb fresh lychees (peeled, seeded and pureed) or 8 oz. canned lychees
1/2 cup simple syrup
2 teaspoons grated ginger
1/8 cup Greenwood Ridge Vineyards Late Harvest White Riesling
1. Make the simple syrup by combining equal parts of water with sugar and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Let cool.
2. Combine the lychee puree, ginger and Riesling* with the simple syrup.
3. Process in an ice cream maker by following manufacturer's instructions.
